JPIA Donates 29 Accounting Kits to NSS Students
The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) welcomed the school year by realizing and embodying some of its missions and objectives: to promote fellowship and sisterhood with the whole Scholastican community and to uphold social awareness and sense of responsibility in realizing the school’s mission of being in solidarity with the poor. These missions are being shown from the Accounting Kit Donation organized by JPIA for the Night Secondary School in accordance with the School of Accountancy last June 28, 2011 at Sr. Caridad S. Barrion Hall.
Twenty nine fourth year NSS students were chosen to receive accounting kits comprising of general journal, ledgers, calculator, intermediate pad, pencil, pen, ruler and columnar notebook. Therenzy Anne M. Cabrera and Aizel Anne M. Castro, project heads, were assigned to organize the said project and give the accounting donations to the students. The event was short; however, the students were filled with joy and were very grateful to the organization for giving them basic accounting essentials that are beneficial for their studying of accounting subjects. Accounting kit donation is indeed another great opportunity of strengthening the bond that has been created between the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and Night Secondary School. JPIA will continue promoting the values of generosity and compassion to less fortunate sisters to live out the core mission and vision of School of Accountancy and Benedictine values of St. Scholastica’s College. |
