OCTOBER ACTIVITIES
NBI CLEARANCE APPLICATION:
A Service to the Scholastican Community
To serve the Scholastican community, the School of Ac-countancy and JPIA organized a one-day event for the application of National Bureau of Investiga-tion (NBI) clearance on October 5, 2011 inside the St. Scholastica’s College Manila campus.
Faculty members, staff, and students went through the stand-ard application process to get their clearance without having to visit the plant offices of NBI. Since the NBI had, in the past year, experienced difficulty in pro-cessing data due to the expiration of the agency’s contract with Mega Data Corporation, the ap-plication process in its head and satellite offices took longer than the usual.
The “hassle-free” application process consisted of three steps: filling out the application form, payment of processing fee, and the data capture (finger-printing and image capture).
The NBI clearance is a staple documentary requirement in job and travel applications. It certifies that a person is not involved in any pending case.
